Privacy Policy
Information we collect
When you contact RocketJump, we may receive the details you provide, such as your name, business, contact information and project requirements.
How information is used
Information may be used to respond to enquiries, prepare proposals, deliver requested services and maintain business records.
Drifter game saves
Freeplay stores your discoveries and settings in your browser. If you create a game account, we store your email address, a protected password hash and your saved adventure to let you sign in and continue playing. Your email is not added to a marketing list. Account sign-in uses an essential session cookie, and your browser may keep a backup of unsynced progress. Signing out returns you to your separate freeplay save.
Drifter gameplay insights
You can turn anonymous gameplay statistics on or off before playing, or in the leaderboard privacy settings. When enabled, we use a random browser identifier to measure active play, visited planets and stages, completion, retries and technical error categories. We do not attach your account email to these statistics. We honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals when the game starts. Statistics are first-party and are not used for advertising.
Optional planet ratings record a positive or negative reaction and a selected topic, such as movement or artwork. There is no free-text recording. Raw gameplay activity and ratings become eligible for removal after 35 days and are removed during routine cleanup. Clearing browser storage resets your anonymous browser identifier. Turning statistics off stops future gameplay reporting; existing anonymous records expire through the retention process.
Explorer leaderboard
Joining the public leaderboard is optional and requires a game account. Only your chosen callsign, explored-planet count and adventure XP are displayed. Your email address is never published. You can change your callsign or leave the leaderboard in the game without deleting your saved adventure. Rankings reflect synced adventure progress and are intended for friendly comparison.
Owner access
Aggregate game insights are restricted to authorised RocketJump administrators. Sign-in sessions use essential, protected first-party cookies. We do not use advertising cookies for the game.
Sharing and retention
Personal information should only be shared with service providers required to deliver the requested service, and retained only as long as reasonably necessary or legally required.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable South African law. Clearing browser storage removes your local Drifter freeplay save. Contact us to request deletion of a game account.
